Site Review
I recently had the pleasure of touring the Gaylord National and was very impressed. Much like other Gaylord properties, no detail was overlooked.
Whether looking for space for a large conference or a more intimate and luxurious space for a high-end event, you will find it at the Gaylord. What impressed me most about the Gaylord National was how they took advantage of their location on the Potomac River. A number of outdoor spaces are available for events, and meeting rooms facing the river include floor to ceiling windows
While attendees will have no need to leave the hotel due to the number of restaurants and lounges, there are a number of options within walking distance. The hotel is situated within National Harbor -- a riverfront entertainment complex featuring restaurants, lounges, shopping, and concert arenas. In addition, visitors can take a water taxi to nearby Old Town Alexandria or Georgetown in DC.
As a resident of Old Town, I have a feeling I will be taking the water taxi to the Gaylord National and National Harbor quite a bit. If you hadn't had the opportunity to visit the Gaylord, I encourage you to do so when it opens in April.
